FAQ

▸ What is Tretinoin?
Tretinoin is an active derivative of vitamin A (retinoid) applied topically to the skin. It is the most powerful form, much more effective than classic retinol sold in perfumeries.

▸ What are its benefits?
Treats acne and blemishes
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
Fades hyperpigmentation spots and melasma
Refines skin texture
Evens out and brightens skin tone

▸ How to apply it correctly?
Only in the evening, on clean and perfectly dry skin. Apply a moisturizer (wait 5 to 10 minutes). Apply Tretinoin, a pea-sized amount, to the entire face. Apply a moisturizer. Start with 2 to 3 applications per week, then gradually increase.

▸ How long does it take to see results?
Acne: 8 to 12 weeks
Spots and anti-aging: 3 to 6 months for initial results
Optimal effect: 6 to 12 months of regular use

▸ What side effects can be expected?
Redness, dryness, tingling, and flaking are normal during the first few weeks (adaptation phase called "purge"). These effects diminish once the skin gets used to it.

▸ Is sun protection mandatory?
Yes, absolutely. An SPF 50 must be applied every morning, without exception. Tretinoin makes the skin very sensitive to the sun.

▸ What active ingredients should be avoided in parallel?
Do not use on the same evening: exfoliating acids (AHA, BHA), benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C.
Combine to soothe: hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, ceramides, rich moisturizers.

▸ Can it be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
No. Tretinoin is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

▸ Can treatment be stopped at any time?
Yes, stopping does not cause a rebound effect. The benefits gradually fade if use is interrupted.
